Cortoon Shamrocks Gaa Club notes

May 02, 2012
The club has another busy weekend of action ahead with all three adult teams in action. Seniors travel to the Prairie on Friday evening to face Salthill Knocknacarra in the fourth round of the league. Throw in is at 730pm. Supporters are advised to allow extra time to make the journey to Salthill due to bank holiday weekend traffic. Junior A team faces Annaghdown away at 7pm Saturday. Junior C team is also away to Claregalway. Throw in is at 2pm on Sunday. These junior games may be subject to change of time and date. Please check facebook.com/cortoonshamrocks or local media for details. Your support for all teams is appreciated.

There will be an executive committee meeting at 9pm on Monday in the Cortoon Inn.

The GAA will be issuing 2012 personalised membership cards over the coming weeks. There is no charge for these cards but clubs will be entitled to order cards once only and the closing date for ordering is Thurs May 3rd. Anyone wishing to receive one should ensure their membership is paid to Keith Mulvany, Registrar, or to Mickey Gilmore in the Cortoon Inn before this date.

With the club celebrating its 125th year in existence in 2013 we are asking all our supporters, who may have any memorabilia relating to the club, to pass them along to Pa Quinn. All photos, match programmes, reports etc would all be greatly appreciated as we look to compile a history of the club and its achievements over the last 125 years. Plenty of supporters have trawled through their archives to furnish us with items and anything you may have in connection with the club and its achievements is most welcome.
