Fahy faces acid test

Galway minor football manager Gerry Fahy knows that Cork will provide his charges with their toughest test to date when the side meet in the All-Ireland semi final on Sunday.

In the curtainraiser to senior semi final between Kildare and Down, the minor clash is an intriguing affair between an unbeaten Cork side and a Galway outfit that lost their provincial final.

The experienced Fahy knows that Cork will be a strong outfit, but he feels that his side have improved considerably throughout the campaign.

"This game will be a real test, for both Cork and Galway. Really, you don't know how these games are going to pan out on the day. Cork are a good side. I saw a DVD of their All-Ireland quarterfinal. They conceded 0-19 points, but still won the match. They just keep plugging away," said Fahy.

"What I think is the big thing though, whatever about the technical side of their game, is that they have had the advantage of playing in Croke Park already.

"It is the one issue that we have to deal with. We just don't know how our young fellows are going to deal with Croke Park. It is a big stadium and a huge match on television. So, you don't know."
