Galway boss Anthony Cunningham admits his side will need to improve on their display against Dublin if they are to upset Tipperary in next month's Bord Gais Energy All-Ireland U21HC final.

"We will need to step up, but we are in the final and that will be a great experience for this group and we'll see how it goes," said Cunningham, who captained the Tribesmen to an All-Ireland under 21 triumph in 1986.

"It was our first competitive game and while a lot of work was done and there were some good challenge matches, there is always the worry about getting up to the pace of the game.

"There was a big worry that we were going in cold whereas Dublin already had a couple of very good games under their belt, but we got stronger as the game progressed." Tweet
