Junior A's played Killererin in their second last league game on Saturday evening in Headford, drawing 1-10 to 2-7 in what was our worst performance of the season. A forty-yard Shane Walsh free with the last kick of the game gave us a draw we hardly deserved. Killererin opened brightly with two points but we went ahead with a flukey goal, when Enda Hannon's long range point effort dipped over the goalie's head and into the net. Points from Niall Meeneghan (2), Sean Meeneghan and Shane Walsh left us 1-4 to 0-5 ahead at the break. A late second half penalty looked to have given Killererin the win but for the second time in a matter of minutes Shane Walsh showed great composure from the placed ball to earn us the draw. Our other second half points came from Enda Hannon (2), Niall Meeneghan (2) and Shane Walsh. Best for us was Colm Kyne.
