Galway board probe sideline altercation

June 27, 2009
The Galway CCC has launched an investigation into an alleged altercation which took place between a county hurling board official and a member of the senior management team during last Saturday's Leinster SHC semi-final against Kilkenny. The bizarre sideline incident, which is believed to have occurred during the second half of Galway's four-point loss in Tullamore, was discussed at a hurling board meeting on Thursday night, with the CCC's findings expected to be known next week. Galway management and players have refused to comment on the matter.
