All-Ireland champions Corofin have captain Micheal Lundy to thank for salvaging a draw in today’s Galway SFC final against Mountbellew-Moylough in Pearse Stadium.

A low-scoring encounter finished with the sides level on 0-7 apiece after Lundy fisted over an equalising point in injury-time.

A shock appeared to be on the cards after three unanswered points had placed the Michael Donnellan coached challengers in the driving seat entering the home straight but Lundy’s late intervention means the sides must meet again to determine who will get their hands on the silverware.

The teams were also deadlocked when the half-time whistle was sounded.

It was 0-3 each at that stage and the second-half failed to produce a winner.
