Mountbellew/Moylough captain and Galway star Michael Daly admits that they will have to be at their best to lift the Galway SFC title this weekend.

Standing in their way of glory is a Corofin side that has dominated the county scene in recent years as they look to secure their sixth consecutive title.

Mountbellew/Moylough have lost their last three county finals to Corofin and Daly admitted to the Connacht Tribune that it is a big ask to beat them.

“I suppose, we are playing a county final this weekend, but we are playing the All-Ireland club champions,” stated Daly.

“They are a good team, they are a very physical side. So, we know what we are up against but we are looking forward to it. We have experience of playing Corofin - it is not new anymore - so that will hopefully stand to us as well.”
