Corofin forward Michael Lundy is as hungry as ever for success.

The Galway, Connacht and All-Ireland club champions are going for their sixth consecutive county title when they take on Mountbellew/Moylough in Sunday’s final.

Many may feel that Corofin won’t possess the same hunger as they did as before, but Lundy laid those thoughts to rest when speaking to the Connacht Tribune.

“Everyone is buzzing,” said Lundy. “It is unique in a way that it is such a short turnaround to a county final but it is just a matter of getting the bodies right.

“These are the games that everyone dreams of playing in and the young lads coming in are mad eager to play. So, that is good for us because it pushes on the rest of the bunch.

“With Mountbellew then having been so good over the last few years, everyone just wants to keep on top of it because you don’t know how long we can stay winning for. We just want to get over the line again on Sunday, and hopefully we can do that.”
