Devenish manager Malachy Cullen admits that winning the league title eases the pain of losing the championship decider a little.

Only a fortnight ago, Cullen watched on as Derrygonnelly were awarded the SFC title for the third consecutive year, but last week, he oversaw his charges win against Ederney.

"It's a fabulous feeling. I'm just so happy," Cullen told the Fermanagh Herald. "Obviously, first and foremost for the players because they really do deserve it. They worked very hard. They do everything that's asked of them. They're a great bunch, a very closeknit group of lads.

"They were very hurt by their lack of a performance in the championship final. They fully accepted we were second best team on the day. They wanted to prove what they are capable of."
