Clubs back league postponement

May 14, 2015

The decision to postpone last weekend's round of senior club games has been back by the majority of the clubs in the county.

There was expected to be a row over the late postponement of the games, but county board chairman Patsy Dolan stressed that the CCC had the full backing of the executive committee.

"We have a Competitions Control Committee and they have total control over fixtures, when and when they not be played in Fermanagh," said Dolan.

"I'd stand by the decisions taken by the CCC. They are the people charged with the delivery of a programme of fixtures. They also look after all the aspects that impinge upon that.

"Any decision they take is always for the benefit of the clubs and the players of the county and I think that's what they've done."
