Heartbreak for Fermanagh in last years Ladies IFC semi final against Tipperary

After suffering the most cruel and dramatic of All-Ireland IFC semi-final defeats to Tipperary in Thurles in 2013, Fermanagh are back at the same stage with a determination to put things right.

The Erne girls led by four points with 45 seconds remaining but conceded 1-2 to miss out on a date in Croke Park.

'It was heartbreak but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger' says captain Marita McDonald. 'I'd say we went through the first four or five months this year without mentioning it but in the past few weeks we've hit in head on'.

Fermanagh play Roscommon as part of a double header with Armagh v Cork in the TG4 Senior Championship. Fermanagh manager Lisa Woods predicts a victory for her home county.

'Armagh Ladies could go all the way. They're strong, they're committed, they've a big panel and I reckon you'll see them in the Final'.
