Hurlers celebrate 20th anniversary of All-Ireland success

July 24, 2014
The 1994 All-Ireland junior hurling championship winning Fermanagh side are to meet to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their success.

This Saturday evening, the squad and management team will meet at the Westville Hotel to reminisce about their All-Ireland win over London in the final.

The 1994 Fermanagh manager Fabian Burns revealed to the Fermanagh Herald that they will have a dinner to mark the occasion.

"They were a very special bunch," said Burns. "We are having a dinner in the Westville to mark the occasion. It will not be a big do but we felt it was fitting to honour the 20th anniversary of that All-Ireland title.

"It is the only one we have and we have about 21 of the panel who will be there and it will be a chance for the players to meet up and remember when they really made history."
