Terence (Terry Bannon R.I.P.)
Prior to this An Tain Division "2" final there was a minute's silenced observed for the late Terence (Terry Bannon R.I.P.)a former hurler with Lisbellaw St Patrick's Hurling Club. There is no disputing that Tir Na Og of Antrim were the undeniable worthy winners of this game, with initially registering three unanswered points in the same matter of minutes from firstly Colm Duffin, Then the dimitive Shane Donnelly, who made up what he lacked in height, made up in pace and skill. To complete the scoring triple of points Colm Duffin returned to the scoring block with his second and his side's third point all from play. Now as the opening quarter was gathering pace, so was Lisbellaw's left full forward Sean Corrigan, who popped over his and side's first score from a free. Unfortunately for the St Patrick's lads the latter minor score propelled they Randalstown side in to a major scoring retaliation, when Malachy Duffin blasted home his side's first goal from play. Then they latter's brother Colm Duffin returned to the scoring plate with his third and his side's fourth point from play. Despite the early match score sheet reading 1 goal 4 points for the obviously dominant Tir Na Nog to 1 point for Lisbellaw, the far from undaunted Sean Corrigan came right back at the Antrim men, when he clipped over his and side's second point from a free. The latter S Patrick's score was the signal for another Lisbellaw sharp shooter to enter the scoring fray, when mid-fielder John Duffy popped over his first and his side's third point from a free. Now with fast and furious match entering its' second quarter there was no sign of the Randalstown Lessing its' scoring grip, with additional fifth, point from Christie Sheerin, then sixth point from Kevin Sheerin, the third in this triple of points came from the stick of Christie Sheerin. With less than ten minutes to the game's interval Tir Na Nog's Kevin Sheerin and Lisbellaw's Sean Corrigan swopped points. However they Randallstown men won this mini scoring tit-for-tat, when Kevin Sheerin clipped over his second and his side's ninth point from a free. Then in a major scoring step up they latter player banged home his side's second goal from play. Just as the Tir Na Og were beginning to attack their opponents defences they matches referee blew for half time, in which they dominant Randallstown registered all their scores bar one (a point) from play. They motley collection of Lisbellaw supporters were hoping on the resumption that wind which favoured Tir Na Nog's in the opening half would come to their beleaguered assistance.

Lisbellaw Enters The Scoring Fray!
What ever happen in the Lisbellaw half time briefing, their opponents merely picked up from where the left off at the end of the first half, when Tir Na Nog's Christie Sheerin clipped over his side's tenth point from play. However in complete contrast to this game's opening moments the next score a sixth St Patrick's point most certainly came from Lisbellaw's John Duffy in attempting to erode they Antrim men's eleventh point lead, clipped over his side's sixth and seventh points from play. Other St Patrick's hurlers employed more dramatic Strategies in attempting quickly and massively overtake they Antrim men's scoring dominance of the match. Repeatedly they Fermanagh mid-field floated slithor's into the scoring zone, but then had to watch their efforts being repeatedly be intercepted by a more sure footed and sure catching backs. With the end of the third quarter everybody now agreed that there was one scoring strategy that was and will pay dividends; points coupled with goals win games. However there was only team that in this game had the monopoly re goal scoring, and though they had slowed done a lot in the major scoring department, they Tir Na Nog side had just too firm scoring grip on this match, with their fall back line preventing the Lisbellaw attack from registering any majors and frequently forcing your opponents, when attempting to clip over points into repeated wide.
The Last Quarter
Now with this game last quarter upon both teams, a sense of scoring panic was noticeable from Lisbellaw supporters, mentors and above all players that scoring time was running out for the St Patrick's lads. They had failed to find code combination to unlock they Randallstown defence. True enough there was sense of panic on the outer fringes of the defence lines but the vital full back line and there sure footed goalie remained unbreached. Up front they Randalstown attack consolidated their scoring with a eleventh point from Kevin Sheerin. Despite that latter score they Lisbellaw were now prepared to battle to the end, and pick off as many of scores as humanly possible, and the rebegan their mission with zeal and confidence, and more importantly a triple of points from firstly Ryan Bogue and then Sean Corrigan joined in with St Patrick's with his side's ninth point from a free. To complete this triple of point scoring John Duffy pucked over his team's tenth point. Alas what was good for the duck was good for goose, and Tir Na Nog now had a few handy points to bolster their match winning scoring performance from firstly Christie Sheerin, and they match winning score by ace sharp shooter Kevin Sheerin.
