Owens' Down hope

Fermanagh's Barry Owens
Barry Owens hopes to be in the starting team when Fermanagh host Down in the Ulster SFC.
Teemore clubman Owens has been a stalwart of the Erne County side for the past eleven seasons but sat out most of the Spring campaign through injury.
But he came on as a substitute during the Division Four league final defeat to Wicklow at Croke Park last weekend and has embarked on a rigorous personal fitness regime in an effort to be ready for the June 3rd visit of the Mourne County to Brewster Park:
"I would be particularly keen to play against Down. I have pleasant memories of our win over them in Enniskillen in 2009 but that match counts for nothing in the context of this forthcoming clash.
"I don't think we did ourselves justice against Wicklow and with home advantage in Enniskillen I honestly feel that we can do a lot better against Down."
