Lisbellaw Into Another All-Ireland Feile

At a belated starting time of 8.30 pm and under lights the truncated Fermanagh Feile Final of 2012 got under way. In semi Siberian climate conditions they Lisbellaw lads opened this games scoring with three unanswered points from Eoin Cleary, Cormac Thompson and Caolan Duffy in the games opening quarter. Then at beginning of this matches second quarter they Knock's lads belatedly fired over their solitary point, from Paul Og O'Reilly. Then despite further Grattan pressure on they brilliant Caolan Love in goals for St Patrick's, who repeatedly parried away almost certain Knock's goals, they Derrygonnelly born and former Lamh Dearg of Antrim has been the under age hurling find of this year. Sure footed under attack and truiy expert delivery back down field, he is a young man to watch. Back to the action, which saw Cormac Thompson blasted home his sides first goal of the game. Then in the few remaining moments of the opening half the easily dominant Lisbellaw side notched on a further two points from Eoin Cleary and Cormac Thompson. For they Grattan's however it was more frustration with wides and stymied scores, with challengers unable to add to their solitary score.

Half times scores

Second half

More Lisbellaw Dominance

On this game's resumption they Lisbellaw lads continued their seamless scoring activity, with a magnificent goal from Eoin Cleary. Moments later they latter's team mate Tom Keenan pucked over a sixth point for St Patrick's. With the mid way point for second half approaching they very attentive crowd saw dramatic step up in Grattan's attacks, which gained their two final points from, Eugene McElroy and Ruari mulligan. Then well before this game's dying moments it was that self assured Lisbellaw sharp shooter Cormac Thompson, who finally wrapped this game up for they St Patrick's side, with another spell binding goal, to deliver another Fermanagh Feile Under 14 Hurling Trophy.
