HL3B final: Corrigan steers Fermanagh to famous win

April 16, 2012
Sean Corrigan scored 2-3 as Fermanagh powered to a 10-point win over Warwickshire in yesterday's Allianz Hurling League Division 3B final at Parnell Park.

Fermanagh 2-15
Warwickshire 2-5

The Ulster men always looked the most likely winners with early points from Corrigan, midfielder Ryan Bogue, Shea Curran and Eoin Morrissey being followed by Corrigan's first goal after 12 minutes.

Michael Ivors pulled back a brace of points for the Exiles before further scores from Bogue and Andrew Breslin gave Fermanagh a 1-8 to 0-5 interval lead.

The Erne County dominated the third quarter to extend their advantage to 14 points. Warwickshire were dealt a blow in the 54th minute when Mick Bermingham was red-carded, but they responded with a goal from Kieran Courtney moments later.

However, Corrigan replied with a similar score at the other end before substitute James O'Dwyer managed a consolation goal for the losers.
