FL4: Quigley goes to town on Leitrim
April 16, 2012
Seamus Quigley bagged 2-6 as Fermanagh warmed up for their Allianz Football League Division 4 final against Wicklow with a facile win over Leitrim at Brewster Park.
Fermanagh 2-15
Leitrim 0-7
Peter Canavan's men maintained their 100 per cent record against a disappointing Leitrim side who were already beaten by half-time. Kevin Conlan gave the visitors an early lead, but it was all Fermanagh after that and Quigley's first goal just before half-time had them perched on a 1-8 to 0-3 advantage at the interval.
Shane McCabe, Paul Ward, Daryl Keenan and Ryan Jones extended the home side's lead before Quigley's second major 15 minutes from the end made it 2-13 to 0-4.
Fermanagh could afford the luxury of replacing the big corner forward after that, while former All Star Marty McGrath also saw action before the end after a long injury layoff.
