Corrigan expects St. Michael's players to bounce back
April 13, 2012
St. Michael's manager Dominic Corrigan is predicting big futures for many of his players, despite their disappointing display in last Saturday's Hogan Cup final against St. Mary's, Edenderry.
Corrigan is confident that they will bounce back from the 0-6 to 1-16 reversal, saying in the Fermanagh Herald: "Their college days playing football have come to an end, but they have the rest of their careers to look forward to and I fully expect a number of these players to be driving forces in their own clubs and to go on and have successful county careers."
The former Fermanagh boss had no complaints about the result.
"It was a very day at the office. To be fair, Edenderry possessed some excellent players and their pace and movement was excellent and they fully utilized the wide open spaces of Croke Park.
"Our boys never stopped working throughout the game and when they look back on the year they will have fond memories. They went on an incredible journey and I think the lasting legacy of this team will be that they have shown what can be achieved with hard work, dedication and honesty."
