Fermanagh's Ryan McCluskey
Ryan McCluskey admits that Peter Canavan influenced his return to the Fermanagh football fold.

McCluskey has been appointed Fermanagh captain for 2012, having called time on his soccer career with Dungannon Swifts to focus on gaelic football. The appointment of Tyrone legend Canavan as Erne County boss had a major bearing on his decision.

"There is no doubt that Peter's appointment as manager had a big bearing on my coming back into the Fermanagh fold," McCluskey says as he prepares to lead his countymen into McKenna Cup action against Antrim this weekend.

"There is a renewed spirit already and the task for us all now will be to revive the team's fortunes.

"It's going to be a tough game as Antrim have their sights on making an early impact.

"We are missing some experienced players but the boys who will be in action are very keen to do themselves proud."
