A Hurling Mismatch
Rarely has sporting competitive event in any code, who's outcome was clearly and accurately predicted. Even by Lisbellaw's high under age standards was their victory over their hapless opponents Grattan's. They Knock's side sole score came in the matches' fifty seventh minute when their substitute Joe McCabe, who seized on incoming slithor and then pucked over the St Patrick's crossbar.  Few minutes later the games referee Mark Curry mercifully blew for full time.
The Game -The Opening half

First Quarter
Lisbellaw begin with gusto
Lisbellaw, 2 gls. 4 pts; Knock's. 0 gl. 0 pt. 0
It do an injustice to either side to detail the one sided effortless coring by the Lisbellaw team's merited winners. Suffice to record that whilst the St Patrick's side got off to a scoring start, but by the end of the matches' opening quarter the Lisbellaw side had registered 2 goals 4 points, without a reply.

The Second Quarter
St Patrick's Double Their Scoring Rate.
Lisbellaw, 2 gls. 6 pts; Knock's. 0 gl. 0 pt. 0
Their was a quantitive increase in the Lisbellaw's scoring rate, when they added an additional 2 goals 6 points and yet again unanswered from their official opponents the Grattan's.
Half time scores
Lisbellaw, 4 gls. 10 pts; Knock's. 0 gl. 0 pt. 0
Second half
Lisbellaw Now in Cruise Speed.

The Third Quarter
3 gls. 3 pts.
This game's final saw no let up St Patrick's scoring power.  On the contrary the Lisbellaw lads added a further 3 goals 3 points in the games' third quarter. This was the important period, when they Knock's should have scores, but yet again it didn't happen for them. For vastly dominant St Patrick's an under 14 team who were so much in control of the playing park and its' scoreboard. Whilst the hapless Knock's sided battled gamely on they yet again failed to register a single score of a white of green flag variety.
Final Quarter
Lisbellaw, 2 gls. 6 pts; Knock's. 0 gl. 0 pt. 1pt.
For Lisbellaw their final quarter of 2 goals 6 points was about average for this high scoring side. What made the difference was that a brave and determined Grattan substitute Joe McCabe came onto to the playing park and immediately scored a well taken point from play.
