Fermanagh U21 Hurlers
This weekend sees the Fermanagh U21 hurlers reach new height's when they play Kerry in the Bord Gáis Energy GAA Hurling All-Ireland Under 21 'B' Championship. The game will be in Pearse Stadium, Galway on Saturday 21st at 1.15pm. After an impressive win over Donegal to claim the Ulster Shield title, hopes will be high as manager Rory O'Donnell has prepared well the young stars of Fermanagh hurling. All in Fermanagh GAA wish them well.
Fermanagh Club Championship Qtr-Finals
This weekend will see a feast of club football action in Fermanagh with the quarter finals in both the Quinn Insurance Senior Football Championship and Kevin Courtney Car Sales Intermediate Football Championship.
In the Quinn Insurance SFC a rejuvenated Teemore side will be buoyed from their big win over Tempo and hope to produce the shock of the championship by beating what many see as favorites for the New York Cup Roslea. Roslea were very impressive winners over Belcoo in the first round but will not take a Teemore side that always ups their game for the championship. Devenish will open their championship campaign with a very interesting tie with Newtownbutler. Newtown produced a strong second half performance to knock out the champions Derrygonnelly. It is a clash of the saints when St.Joseph's take on St.Patrick's, St.Pat's are a long way from their 2008 championship success having been demoted to Division 2 but look like they are rebuilding and would have high hopes of being able to overcome St.Joe's who have made steady progress in Division 1 this year and will use all the experience to progress to the semi-finals. In the remaining game Enniskillen having overcome Kinawley in the opening game will hoping they can rely on all their experience to progress against an Erne Gales side that has found Division 1 football a tough task this year.
In the Kevin Courtney Car Sales Intermediate Football Championship Coa face Belanleck, favorites Lisnaskea take on Aughadrumsee, Brookeborough play Derrylin and concluding the action on Wednesday 25th Irvinestown play Maguiresbridge.
It is sure to be a busy and packed weekend of exciting and close matches.
