Taken full advantage of a full scale wind blowing behind them 'hosts' MacCumhaill's began their vanquish of their Lisnaskea visitors, when in the games opening quarter the fired in one goal and 8 unswered from their hapless opponents Lisnaskea from the neighbouring county of Fermanagh. Early matches scorers for the north Donegal were Martin Timoney with a point. Followed up with points by Lee Henderson, Cian Matheson, with two points each. Then Jamasie Donnelly, with two points and finaly with the end of the opening quarter in site MacCumhaill's David White clipped over his sides seventh and point to reinforce the Donegal's telling dominance of the park scoreboard. Then as the vociferous visitors support becoming despondent that their Emmett heroes would ever score, up stepped their right half forward Barry Smith, who pucked over his sides first score a point from play. However that rash Fermanagh retort was immediately punished with a blistering goal strike by MacCumhaill's, Lee Henderson. Nevertheless the Lisnaskea side stumbled on and within five minutes 0f the interval doubled their scoring with a second point. However if anyone thought that the north Donegal side had lifted their foot of the pedal they were in for a rude awakening, when MacCumhaill's, Travis Griffin fired home his sides second goal. Though the very late first half now registered a massive score of 2 goals 8 points for MacCumhaill's for 2 modest points for Lisnaskea, their was to be further five points from the Ballyboyfey's attackers consisting of
complete their tidy tally in the games opening half. Andrew Barron was one of the quintets with his second point from play, and then Martin Timoney also claimed his second point with a puck from mid-field. Finally it was left to Lee Henderson, to claim the opening half's remaining scores.

Skea Now With the Wind Behind Them.
They expected 'Skea fight splutter into scoring action, with a third and a fourth point for the Emmett's left half forward Paul McGolderick from a free. However the MacCumhaill's quickly retaliated with points from Lee Henderson and Cian Matheson to bring the games end of the third quarter scoring to 2 goals 14 points for MacCumhaill's to 4 points for the Lisnaskea side.
Though the Emmett's gamely battled on and with the Ballybofey side easing off the scoring throttle, it was the opportunity that the Emmett's side were seeking. Valiantly when they clipped, pucked and popped their last scores of this match. However it was left to their much slicker opponents to register a well deserved win, and a telling final score of 2 goals 16 points for MacCumhaill's to the Emmett's very modest tally of 7 points.
