A Brendan McGarry goal helped Fermanagh hand Leitrim their second defeat in Division Four of the National Hurling League this afternoon at Brewster Park, Enniskillen.

It was the visitors that had made the better start through their midfielder Clement Cunniffe, before Fermanagh began to assert their authority via sharpshooter Paul McGoldrick, who would finish the game with an impressive tally of 0-11 from frees.

McGarry's well-struck goal put the Ernesiders in the driving-seat for the second-half, where a superb save from goalkeeper Peter McEvoy off Liam Burns and further points from McGoldrick made sure of an early pair of points for the Ulster team. Tweet
