GAA stars in contention for Fermanagh award

February 05, 2010
Ladies Gaelic footballer Caroline Little and hurling ace Niall Lunney are the GAA stars in contention for the annual Fermanagh Herald Sports Personality Award in association with Belleek Living.

Lunney captained the Fermanagh minor side to victory over neighbours Tyrone in the All-Ireland 'C' Championship final at Kingspan Breffni Park, Cavan last August.

Little, meanwhile, was part of the Fermanagh ladies side which advanced to the All-Ireland Intermediate Football final in September.

She produced Player of the Match performances in both the Ulster final win over Cavan and All-Ireland semi-final defeat of Longford, and ended the year as Ulster Ladies Player of the Year.

The overall winner of the award will be announced at a black-tie ceremony at the Manor House Hotel Resort in Killadeas on Friday, February 19th next.
