Gallagher excited by new role

January 15, 2010
Former Fermanagh footballer Rory Gallagher admits that he can't wait to begin his new job as manager of the Belcoo senior footballers for the coming year. Gallagher hung up his boots two years ago and revealed that he needed a break away from the game, but now he is eager to get started in a different environment. "I have not played in two years and to be honest I needed the break but now I am raring to get going again," said Gallagher. "When you're playing the thought of management does not come into your head too much but since I have stopped playing it has something that has interested me more and more and it was just a matter of getting the right club at the right time. "There is no doubt that there is a talented group of players there but in all honesty there are six to eight teams in Fermanagh that could win the championship."
