Book launched on Ulster GAA

A new book was launched to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the GAA covers all aspects of the association in Ulster down through the decades.

A number of prominent figures from the North like President Mary McAleese, Cardinal Sean Brady, Paddy McFlynn, Maurice Hayes, Jim McKeever, Peter Quinn and Mickey Harte all reflect on the GAA in 'The Evolution of the GAA: Ulaidh agus Eile'.

The book goes right back to before the initial formation of the GAA and reflects on the protestant influence within the association during the late 1800's.

Records of all hurling and football championship games are also detailed in the book that was launched at the Cardinal O'Fiaich library last weekend.
