Fermanagh, 0 gl. 14 pts
Leitrim, 1 gl. 12 points.
Despite putting in a magnificent second half scoring performance lead by Ryan Bogue, and who's personal tally was 12 points, ten of which were frees, Fermanagh senior hurlers failed by one point to register a win in the inaugural Lory Meagher Cup. The Erne county who at the games interval were trailing 5 points to 11 points for the visiting Leitrim but managed to add a further 9 points in the games second half. Fermanagh are however not out of this competition, but played another last Saturday's looser at a game yet to be announced.
The Game -the first half.
It was this games hosts and midfielder Ryan Bogue registered sides eight point from a who got this matches scoring off to a quick start when he pointed from play. However the Leitrim visitors ace scorer Clement Cunniffe and also a mid-fielder created this games first draw, when pucked over from a previously awarded free. Minutes later with more Shannon side pressure the Leitrim left corner forward James Clancy put his side in front for the first time, when he pucked over from play. The visitors extended their lead further when Clement Cunniffe popped over his second and Leitrim's third point from play. The later was joined in this continual visitor scoring spree, when a previous scorer James Clancy pucked over his second and his side's fifth point from play. Continue with their scoring blitz they Leitrim scoring duo were joined by team mate and right half forward Colm Hayes, who fired over his sides sixth point again from play. Centre half forward Dave McGovern became the fourth member of the visiting scoring quartet, when he fired over his first and his side's seventh point and again from play. With less than five minutes to half-time and renewed Fermanagh pressure brought about a free, which Ryan Bogue pucked over for his and his side's second point. That solitary Erneside point invited immediate scoring reaction from the Leitrim's Dave McGovern registered sides eight point from play. Then his team mate and many times previous scorer Clement Cunniffe who popped over his side's ninth point from a previously awarded free. And yet again it was Ryan Bogue who interrupted the visitors, when the manly mid-fielder pucked over Fermanagh's third point from a free. And yet again it was Clement Cunniffe who was there to reply for the Shannonsiders. But with four minutes to the games interval Ryan Bogue raced back up to the scoring plate, when he fired over his fourth point from a free. Though the Fermanagh mid-fielder was piling on scores, so was his opponents like Clement Cunniffe who now registered his sides tenth and eleventh points from a mid-field frees. As the games referee was about to put his whistle to his mouth and blow half-time, up step the scoringly quiet Fermanagh right half forward John Duffy to puck the opening half's last score a well taken point from play. As both teams ran off the pitch at the match's interval, it was very obvious which team had a very first half satisfactory performance.

Second half
Fermanagh Awaken
Though Fermanagh did change players at the games interval, the matches Erneside scorer had a familiar ring to his name it was Ryan Bogue the hosts mid-fielder who pucked over 4 of his sides 5 points. Now at the beginning of the games second half he fired over his fifth and sixth and his sides seventh points from frees. However that player successful solo effort was massively punished, when the hosts full forward Connor Burns blasted home this games only goal from play. That latter major score may have thwarted another under the cosh team, but not so the Ernesiders, who now set about seizing the scoring iniative from their visitors. It was their ace scoring mid-fielder Ryan Bogue who was again to the fore, when he pucked over his sides eight and ninth points from a '65 and a free. With games third quarter ending and the matches' scoreboard now declaring the games score 9 points for Fermanagh to 1 goal 11 points for Leitrim, the Ernesiders now set about wining the game. If this game down to scoring alone of the matches' fourth quarter the Fermanagh hosts would have won it. However any game is composed of four quarters and the totality of scored in those seventy minutes that count. Just for the scoring record the Ernesiders registered a further 5 points from Ryan Bogue all from frees. His opposite number and ace point scorer Clement Cunniffe pucked over his sole point of the final half. are however not out of this competition, but played another last Saturday's looser at a game yet to be announced.
