Mark Little and Rory Gallagher are believed to be surprise omissions from Fermanagh's Dr McKenna Cup squad. The squad had not yet been officially confirmed, but it's understood that Little and Gallagher aren't in manager Malachy O'Rourke's plans for the pre-season competition. The much-travelled Gallagher had hoped to force his way back into the squad after a three-year absence, but failed to impress at trials held in the past fortnight. Other players not in the panel include Shaun Doherty, whose late point brought this year's Ulster final to a replay, and Matthew Keenan, who recently underwent an operation. However, there is still a possibility that all four could feature in Fermanagh's National League and championship campaigns. Tweet
