Maguire rues absentees

November 14, 2008
St Patricks manager Sean Maguire has bemoaned the injury list that hampered his side in their Ulster club clash with champions Crossmaglen. The Fermanagh kingpins were well beaten by their illustrious Orchard County opponents in Cross' last weekend, but the Donagh men were severely depleted for the match and particularly missed their midfield powerhouse Paul Cosgrove. "[We had] five first choice players missing and it was very evident that we were missing players around the middle of the park, especially in the last ten minutes of the first half when we were cleaned out," said the man who led the Pat's to their first-ever SFC earlier this year. Maguire's players now turn their attention to the task of preserving their Division One status.
