Ryan McMenamin admitted that Fermanagh's finishing wasn't good enough in their defeat to Westmeath.

Trailing by 0-1 to 0-7 after playing against a gale-force in the first half at TEG Cusack Park, the Ernesiders reduced the deficit to two points after the restart, but they missed four scoreable chances late on as the hosts held on for the win.

"It was a very poor performance," the Fermanagh manager said in the Irish Daily Mirror.

"We had chances, but again we didn't play in the first half and we have to ask questions of ourselves.

"We're trying to get it right and we probably have to ask questions of the players but look, all round it was a very, very poor performance.

"In the second half, we had chances to tip a few scores over and it should have been a lot closer, but again we made a lot of poor decisions and we're going to have to look at that as well."
