A blistering start was central to St Michael's Hogan Cup semi-final victory over St Colman's College at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.

Wtih Darragh MacBrien, Michael Glynn and Conor Love on fire, Dominic Corrigan's charges stormed into a 10-point lead inside the opening quarter before St Colman's recovered to trail by 1-6 to 2-5 at the interval. But Enniskillen weren't to be denied as they kicked on for a six-point win to reach their third-ever Hogan Cup final, where Naas CBS will provide the opposition.

St Michael's stunned their Claremorris opponents with two goals from Caolan Duffy and Conor Love inside the first two minutes. Daragh McBrien and Love also hit points as the Fermanagh boys dominated the early exchanges. Conor McGuinness eventually opened St Colman's account from a 14th minute, only for MacBrien to reply.

But the Connacht champions then fired five unanswered points before an Enda Hession goal left only two points between the sides at the break.

When McGuinness landed another free just after the restart, the margin was down to the minimum, but St Colman's couldn't regain parity as the MacRory Cup winners responded with scores from MacBrien and Love. The result was never in doubt after that as St Michael's reasserted control.
