Kennedy on top

September 02, 2007
Dubliner Eoin Kennedy last night (Saturday) retained his M Donnelly All-Ireland 60x30 handball singles title by overcoming veteran Michael 'Ducksy' Walsh of Kilkenny at Croke Park. In front of a huge attendance, the defending champion was in brilliant form and served up one of his most impressive displays of the year. Kennedy dominated the opening game, racing into a 16-0 lead before withstanding a brilliant comeback from Walsh and holding on for a 21-20 win. In the second game, Kennedy's fitness shone and he powered his way to a 21-6 victory to confirm his number one standing in the country.
