Ballyboden open their defence of the Dublin SFC against Naomh Olaf tomorrow night (Friday).

And Robbie McDaid says the reigning Dublin, Leinster and All-Ireland club champions won't be getting ahead of themselves but will instead be taking it one game at a time:

"All we are focusing on right now is Olaf's in O'Toole Park on Friday evening," he told the Dublin GAA website. "Before the first round last year I think we were the sixth favourites to win the Dublin title.

"And even when we came out of Dublin, people still doubted us. But we believed in ourselves and that belief carried us through. The Dublin Championship is just so hard to win.

"Before last season, it was back in 2009 when we were previously in the final. It's a long road. A tough road. And you have to be prepared.

"It's so difficult to get out of Dublin. And when you do, you have to make the most of it."
