Plans to stop Aidan O'Shea will feature prominently in Dublin's preparations for this Sunday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final according to Denis Bastick.

The individual battle between O'Shea and Dublin's Rory O'Carroll is an intriguing sub-plot to the eagerly-awaited clash and Bastick is full of admiration for Mayo's 'Superman'.

"He is a great player," Bastick commented to The Irish Daily Star. "He is the form player at the moment.

"Top class, and he destroyed Sligo on his own and did a great job against Donegal.

"He is a bit like Superman at the moment. We will have to figure out a plan to stop him.

"He was always a top talent. Being in closer to goal you get the headlines when you do all the scoring.

"That's only natural, but he is getting deliveries in and they seem to be working well for him. We'll have to figure out how to stop him."
