Liam Rushe isn't ready to write either Kilkenny or Tipperary off just yet!

With Rushe in on the edge of the square, Ger Cunningham's new-look Dublin side has eased past both the Premier County and the Cats in the first two rounds of the national hurling league but he points out that it's early days in the season for everybody:

"It's a great start but, as I said, everyone is at different stages of preparation for the championship," he told The Irish Daily Star.

"People have their year planned differently and, with the new man in, we probably are looking to hit the ground running and maybe have a lot more work under our belts. So I wouldn't write them off just yet."

Looking forward to Saturday week's third-round meeting with Cork at Croke Park, the Palmerstown man continues: "Any time you play there is nice. Cork are going well. I suppose they picked it up after the first day, they were probably caught on the hop a bit. We are looking forward to it, really."
