Fatherly advice for Rock junior

Former Dublin great Barney Rock
Dublin legend Barney Rock has advised his son Dean to keep his head down and continue to work hard on his game.

Dean came off the bench to hit two crucial late points as Dublin claimed the FL Division 1 title for the first time in 20 years at Tyrone's expense last Sunday but Rock senior stressed his son realises his scoring exploits doesn't guarantee him a place on the starting 15 next time out.

"He knows that it is not just a 15-man team, it is a 20-man game because Dublin use five subs," Barney told The Irish Daily Star.

"He now has to keep working hard and keep doing it.

"Dean knows just because he got on and scored two points the last day it doesn't mean he is going to start next time around."
