Boyne joins Dublin's backroom team

February 08, 2013
Ray Boyne will serve the Dublin senior footballers as Head of Performance Analysis.

Discussing the announcement, Dublin manager Jim Gavin said: "I'm delighted to confirm that Ray Boyne has accepted the position on my Dublin senior football management team as Head of Performance Analysis.

"Ray's experience through nine campaigns and three managers is a consistency that I welcome and I know his analysis team will welcome it too.

"The role is a natural fit to Ray's ability, but I am conscious that it will also make demands of his time with his family and work. I respect how supportive both have been of Ray's work with the team and I acknowledge the sacrifices they have made."

Gavin's extended backroom team is now an unprecedented 19 strong. The manager is also joined by selectors Mick Deegan, Declan Darcy, Michael Kennedy and Shane O'Hanlon, athletic development coach Martin Kennedy, goalkeeping coach Davy Byrne, development coach Mick Bohan, analyst Frank Roebuck, statistician Seaghan Kearney, cameraman Chris Farrell, lifestyle coach Bernard Dunne, doctor Dave Hickey, physio Kieran O'Reilly, nutritionist Daniel Davy, kitmen David Boylan and Mark Brady, media manager Seamus McCormack and commercial manager James Brogan.
