Swipe away - The New all weather Terms of Use
Access to the new all-weather pitch is now available to mentors by swipe card.
The new all-weather pitch is to be used for authorised training sessions only. Any other use of the new all-weather must be supervised by an adult mentor. It is not permitted for mentors to randomly open the pitch for access to juveniles without supervision. The old all-weather pitch area is available for anybody wishing to play around and the new ball-alley is available for hurling practice.
Please also ensure that lights are turned off promptly after a training session where there is not other team coming on after your session.
Metal studs are still being used in the all-weather pitches. This has the effect of damaging these critical resources. From now on spot checks will be mounted in which mentors may be asked to line up their squad in order to have their footwear inspected.
Any squad found to have even one player with metal studs will be formally warned the first time. A second offence will result in the loss of the squad's winter training slot for two weeks.
For the avoidance of any doubt, no training of any sort is permitted at this time of year on any grass area in our grounds without express approval. Teams assembling for training should be instructed to stay off the grass.
Scór na nÓg

Congratulations  to the Na Fianna Rince Foirne who qualified for the Leinster Semi-final of Scor, to be held in Mullingar on December 6th.  For the second year in a row, Aedin Ui Mhaoileidigh's dancers were chosen to represent Dublin at provincial level.  The dancers are: Cathal O Braonain, Sean Mac Eoin, Aodhan Buggy, Brian O Fiaich, Amy Ni Fhiaich, Lisa Ni Fhiaich, Isobel Ni Fhlaitheartha and Kate Ni Loinsigh.
Our quiz team came of  Conor Whooley, Colm O Faininn and Danny Flaherty came within one question of going through but were pipped at the post.  Special thanks to their team mentor Noel Coughlan.  Well done also to Emma Lowry's Ceol Uirlise group of Sarah Deegan, Ciaran Lowry, Luke Webb, Amy O'Brien and Eoin Flanagan.  Hopefully we will hear all our young musicians in the club before too long.
Thanks to Ann Ryan for organising this year's Scor entry - it would be great to get as many Na Fianna participants in the Senior Scor Sinsear coming up in February!
Na Cartaí ar an Aoine Dodgy deals in the bar!
Má tá speis agat í cartaí is fiú teach chuig an club ar oiche dé haoine. The card session was in full swing last Friday night in the members bar when the action was caught on camera. Serious chips were changing hands but final placings were a closely guarded secret. All are welcome to come and join in. The concentration of the card school was in stark contrast to the music and energy of the juvenile disco downstairs.
Ní thagann ciall roimh aois!
Next Thursday Cuireann an club fíor fáilte do na has-beens the regular group of elder members and past members of the club who get together for an early pre Christmas lunch. The attendees include many who may not be familiar to more recent members of the club. The group comprises of those who have devoted, (and some who continue to devote,) significant time and effort at various periods of the clubs development. The facilities in our present care are in no small way a result of their collective effort Tá súil againn go mbeidh lón maith acu agus gaibhimid ár mbuíochas leo.
Comhghairdeas don GPA
Congrats to Club man Dessie Farrell on reaching agreement with the GAA over the weekend concerning formal recognition of the GPA Maith thu After many years of toil it s great news for all involved that the needs of inter county players can be addressed formally while importantly protecting the amateur status of the organization.
