We wish all of our members a happy new year, and best of luck for 2009. The annual married vs. singles match on St. Stephens day was a great success which saw the married men win by 1 point, many thanks to everyone for their donations. Tommy the machine Dunne captained the 'singles' team to defeat, which shows what Tommy is all about - DEFEAT. Well done to the junior footballers who captured the McKenna cup on Sunday by beating the Wild Geese by 1 point, congrats to Finbar Shanahan who captained the team and accepted the cup on the clubs behalf. Adult football training resumes this coming Monday, starting in the gym from 6pm, bring runners and football boots. We thank everyone for their support in the centenary celebrations bash in the Coolquoy Lodge on St. Stephens night.
