Updates from the Clontarf, O'Dwyers, Na Fianna, St Brigids, Garristown, Lucan Sarsfields, Raheny, Ballinteer St Johns and Scoil U' Chonaill clubs. Clontarf The Club Executive wishes all members a very Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. Thanks to all our players and mentors for their great commitment over the past year. Well done to our Minor Footballers who drew with Fingallians in the B Championship Final and thanks to all our club members who turned out to support, replay in January. Two charity events take place over the Christmas. On Dec 25th, there's the Annual Wooden Bridge jump at 11am and on Dec 27th, it's the Annual Football Blitz and BBQ from 4pm. Poker Tournament on Dec 27th in the clubhouse from 8pm. www.clontarfgaa.com O'Dwyers Training: Adult Football, Hurling and Camogie Training has ceased for their Christmas Break. Training will resume in early January. New members for these teams are always welcome. Managers are also being put in place for all Adult Teams for 2009. If you are interested in getting involved please submit details in writing to Club Secretary - Sharon Whelan by the 6th January. Juvenile: The Nursery skills camp is on its Christmas Break until Saturday 10th January 2009. Cultural Club Classes: Cultural Club are on their Christmas Break until Monday 5th January. Upcoming dates for your diary: O'Dwyers Christmas Swim is taking place at 12noon on Christmas Day down on the front beach (via Convent Lane). O'Dwyers Exec Committee would like to wish all their members a very Happy Christmas. Na Fianna Pride of place goes to the Minor As who won their championship final replay against St Brigid's by 1-10 to 1-9. Fantastic game of football witnessed by all going right down to the wire. Congrats to all involved for Na Fianna's first minor championship since 1975. A great weekend was rounded off perfectly by the Waterford Omagh Peace choir's performance in Halla na Fianna on Sunday. Playing in front of a packed audience of 250 ñ and possibly more ñ the choir got everyone into the festive spirit. New Year's Eve Party on Wednesday, 31 December next in the club. Pat Montague, Na Fianna PRO St Brigids The Minor Footballers Suffered Champo Final Heartbreak losing out by a point in a pulsating replay. Well done to Na Fianna on their win. A big thank you to Gerry, Liam, Mick, Rory, John & Declan for their tremendous efforts with this team. The club bar will open from 6pm on St Stephens Night. There will be live music in the bar & a Disco in the hall. Its sure to be a great night so get down early.
