Kavanagh settling in

December 07, 2008
Kilmacud Crokes' forward Brian Kavanagh has admitted that it has taken him some time to settle into his new surroundings following his transfer to the Dublin club earlier in the year. Kavanagh made the switch from Longford intermediate side Ardagh when he got a teaching job in Dublin and he revealed that it took him some time to get used to the pace of the game in Dublin. However, the talented forward has been putting in some excellent performances for Crokes of late and has helped them to the Leinster club final where they will play Offaly champions Rhode today. "I'm only really getting used to it with Crokes now," said Kavanagh. "The pace of football in Dublin is really fast so you don't have time to hang around."
