Colaiste Eanna's Padraig Harrington brings down the crossbar at the Hill 16 end!

Incredible footage of Padraig Harrington causing the crossbar at the Hill 16 end of Croke Park to collapse has emerged ahead of a sports forum to be held by a Dublin GAA club next weekend.

Harrington was playing for Colaiste Eanna against St. Vincent's Secondary School in the Dublin Colleges final 30 years ago when the crossbar came down as the three-time Major winner kicked over a '45. The crossbar was put back up by St. Vincent's players, who climbed up on each other's shoulders, and the game resumed a short time later.

The famous incident will be fondly recalled at the Na Fianna Sports Forum on Friday night, which Harrington is expected to attend.

St. Vincent's, who were managed by new GAA president John Horan and whose team included a fresh-faced Dessie Farrell and future Irish soccer international Kenny Cunningham, went on to win the final.
