Ballymartin 0-14 Carryduff 0-12
Carryduff forced favourites Ballymartin to pull out all the stops to get over the winning line, the lead changing hands on six occasions. Shane O'Neill proved a willing and able target man for the city side and was instrumental as they came from behind to lead five two after thirteen minutes. Ballymartin then began to run through the centre and this paid dividends with a Ciaran O'Hare penalty point and a Cathal Doyle solo effort drawing them level at six all. Though Ciaran O'Hare pointed on the restart, it was Carryduff who enjoyed the best of the early chances and Paddy Greene had to get down smartly to deny Carryduff a goal. The teams went on to be level at nine, ten and eleven all before Ballymartin managed to put two scores together, points from Ryan O'Hare and Cathal Doyle. Going into added time Shane O'Neill made it a one point game but it was Ciaran O'Hare with his fourth free from the last kick of the match who guided Ballymartin to victory.
On Friday night the senior male footballers travelled to Páirc Esler, Newry to contest the ACFL Division II pairing against Newry Shamrocks. Carryduff returned home with two valuable league points after caliming victory on a scoreline of Shamrocks 0-10 Carryduff 2-09
