Mark Copeland and John Morgan are poised to join Jim McCorry's management team in Down.

McCorry, who was recently appointed as James McCartan's successor, has promised a "high calibre" backroom team and it's expected that Copeland and Morgan will be unveiled as selectors in the coming days.

Copeland managed the Down ladies to an All-Ireland intermediate title last month after taking over the reins from Myles Cahill in mid-season, and is also assistant manager of Kilcoo, who McCorry guided to a three-in-a-row of Down SFC titles earlier this month. McCorry  and Copeland will remain involved with Kilcoo until their interest in the Ulster club SFC is ended.

Morgan, meanwhile, was a selector with Down's 2005 All-Ireland minor team and has been involved with Annalcone in recent years.
