Reports
The Senior Camogie match An Riocht v Ballycran was postponed as Ballycran were in Ulster League action.

The U14 Camogie game An Riocht v Ben Dearg did not take place.

At the U14 Camogie Feile in Warrenpoint An Riocht were awarded best presented team and Lauren Clarke was runner up in the Skills.

There was U10 & U8 Camogie in Longstone on Sunday.

The Reserve Footballers had two fixtures at the weekend with mixed fortunes resulting. On Friday in Rostrevor An Riocht lost the match but played some fine football. Reds went 2-6 to nil ahead by the fifteenth minute. An Riocht lost possession much too easily and the quality of the home side punished us on every occasion. However after Darren White had pointed our first score, previously lacking confidence surged through the team and we won the second quarter 1-6 to 1-4. Ryan Clarke put Darren through again but his rising shot cleared the bar before Conor Cole placed Aidan McVeigh for a goal and Aidan added three more from frees and from play with Niall McGovern chipping in with another to leave it 1-6 to 2-11 at half time. Rostrevor strengthened further at the break and we failed to add to our tally on the restart. The defence came into their own in the second half with Stephen Doran excellent in goals and Michael Clarke and Stephen McVeigh in particular playing well; subs Anthony Rogers and Egidijus Galdikas also enjoyed some deft touches during this period. Then on Sunday An Riocht gained their first points with a walk over Saval.
Team S Doran; G O'Neill, J McCartan, S Sloan; M Clarke, C Cole, S McVeigh; D White, G Keenan; R Clarke, N McGovern, S McArdle, A McVeigh, S Corr, S Knox. Subs A Rogers, E Galdikas.

An Riocht finished runners up at the U18 Football Sevens losing to Mayobridge in the Final after extra time.

Congratulations to Tara Campbell, Tom Cunningham and Turlough Eastwood who have been nominated for Shining Light Community Volunteering Awards.
All award winners will be announced at the Shining Light Community Volunteering Awards in Bellini's on 6th June; an evening of light hearted fun and a chance to recognise the tremendous contribution that community volunteers make to life in this area.
The aim of the Community Volunteering Awards is to honour the life and work of Patricia Graham by recognising the significant contribution made by others to meet the needs of the local community through volunteering. Patricia Graham had a personal commitment and involvement with helping those in need; both in her role as a volunteer and as an employee of the Confederation of Community Groups working in support of volunteers.
Once again this year, there has been a high level of interest in the awards and the diversity of nominations for both individuals and groups highlights the wide range of activities and organisations which make up the local community and voluntary sector; which is both thriving and vibrant.

The next Football Committee meeting is on Wednesday 22 May, a week earlier than scheduled.

Anyone wanting to book a seat on the bus to the Ulster Championship in Derry on 2nd June should leave their name AND fare into the club asap; there are limited spaces and they will go on a first come basis.
