Former Laois underage star Zach Tuohy helped Carlton to a facile 122-62 victory over Martin Clarke's Collingwood in Friday night's AFL clash in Melbourne.

Over 80,000 fans packed into the MCG to see an impressive Carlton win. Tuohy started for the winners, but Clarke actually gained more possessions despite only coming on as a substitute.

Elsewhere, Mayo's Pearce Hanley came off the bench to make seven marks in Brisbane's 35-64 defeat to Freemantle. His performance drew praise from Tuohy who said: "Pearce is the best Irish player in the AFL and has been for a few years." Tweet
