Ardglass GAC Weekly Notes
April 15, 2012
ACFL Div 3 Drumaness 1-6 Ardglass 0-12
Ardglass travelled to Drumaness last Friday and returned with their first victory of the season, the winning margin was three points in the end, however like their previous game their dominance was not reflected on the score board as Ardglass saw four goal scoring opportunities wasted and the wide count reached double figures over the hour. Nonetheless this was a good all round team performance with Stephen Moore steady in nets, as he was well protected by Clifford O'Connor, Sean Paul Halpin and Philip Gill, the scores came from all sectors of the field as defenders Malachy Crangle and Sean Paul Halpin broke forward to score points, Mick Magee added several from midfield while Ciaran Dorrian and Eoin Curran bagged a couple each in the forward line. Next fixture home to Attical 6.45 Monday 16th and Away to Bosco Friday 20th at 7pm.
ACMFL Div 3 Drumaness 4-8 Ardglass 1-4
The Minors weren't as successful as the seniors on their travels to Drumaness as they suffered an opening round defeat to the Blues on Tuesday past, The visitors started brightly however the loss of a player to a red card after ten minutes hampered their performance for the remaining fifty minutes, Ardglass battled to the end with strong performances from Shane Taggart, Mick Clarke John Feenan and Mattie Tumilty. EDU14FL - Ardglass 3-10 Bright 7-11
