* An Riocht wish to extend there condolences to the O'Rourke & Sloane family circles on the passing of Terry & Sean, may they rest in peace.
* Thanks to those who supported the Texas Hold 'Em Poker
* The Camogie Registration Day took place at the weekend. All players must be registered to play, if you missed registration day then see your coach at the next practice to get a registration form.
* An Riocht Finance & Social Committee met on Wednesday past and have released acts and dates for 2012 social activities and fundraisers:

*An Riocht's Annual Awards entertainment is in your hands; who would you like to see perform this year? The Kilkenny's will be a hard act to follow, but if you have a suggestion, please post in on our Official Facebook, just search AnRiochtGaa. Also which Club team(s) do you want to see honoured at the Annual Awards, it does not have to be a 'winning' team but a team deserving of special recognition on our big night.
*DVD of the clubs annual dinner dance and 30th year celebrations are available from the club. Priced at £10
* An Riocht Senior Football Training is on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays in the Sports hall; all players are asked to bring £1 and their own water bottle. Everyone welcome.
* The meeting to form a Football Committee and oversee coach/manager appointments was postponed on Tuesday past and now takes place on Tuesday 17th January at 7.30pm.
* Irish Dancing is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.30pm.
*Every Tuesday An Riocht presents 'Ceol, Caint Agus Craic' from 7.45pm for all budding musicians, singers and artists. It's an opportunity for all ages and levels of ability to practice instruments, practice the language (get some help with homework), learn new songs and tunes; guaranteed fun and plenty of craic. There was an encouraging attendance at the first get together last week so come along and join in this time.
* Juvenile Camogie on Wednesdays 6.30pm U8 & U10 and 7.30pm U14 age.
* Good luck to Brendan in the McKenna Cup match on Wednesday.
* U10 & U12 Football on Thursdays from 7pm to 8pm in the sports hall.
* The Camogie committee meets on Thursday 19th January.
* Good luck to John Paul Farrell, Steven Doran, Mark Higgins, Stephen Mc Dowell, Darragh Campbell, Ronan White, Nathan Mc Comiskey, Deaglan Morgan and the rest on the St Columbans Football Team in the Ulster Football Quarter Final in Crossmaglen on Friday, (11am)
* U6 & U8 Football on Saturdays at 10am and 11am respectively. All offers of help appreciated, a rota is available at Dunavil.
* The GAA Social Initiative programme for 2012 gets underway on Saturday 21 January with a Big Breakfast event which will plan the years activities and a visit from the Southern Trust 'Man Alive' project. The 'Man Van' will cater for 11 appointments for men giving information on health and lifestyle, cancer prevention, blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol with the Man Alive Health Promotion Nurse. Contact Tom Cunningham or the Club to book your breakfast and appointment. You do not have to have played Gaelic Games to take part in the GAA Social Initiative programme and Saturday is as good a time as any to get started.
* Down Games Development are holding indoor hurling blitzes at Dunavil from 12pm to 2pm on Sundays in January.
* Mourne Hurlers AGM at Dunavil at 5.30pm on Sunday 22nd January.
* Pitch Maintenance seminar in Drumnaquoile on Tuesday 24 January; see Pat Rodgers to book your spot.
* 'The Pitch' tickets are on sale and are priced at £5. The Pitch will take to the stage on Wednesday 25th January at An Riocht, it's only County Down performance, and admission will be by ticket only.
