Glasdrumman club notes
August 16, 2010The seniors lost out narrowly to Darragh Cross on Friday, their next league game is away to Bosco on Friday 20th August, throw in at 7.15pm.
The Reserves have no game this week.
The U16s have no game this week.
The U14s have a run of games coming up with their next game away to Atticall on Wednesday 18th August, throw in at 7.15pm and then at home to Clann na Banna on Monday 23rd August, throw in at 7.00pm.
Girls U14 football training as usual on Wednesday evenings at the Primary School.
It was disappointing that only Clann na Banna turned out for the U10 County blitz on Saturday, but never the less both Glasdrumman and Clann na Banna teams enjoyed a good game of football. Thanks to County Rep Catriona Rodgers and Clann na Banna. U10 training is Wednesday evenings at 7.00pm for the U10s with U8s & U10s training as usual each Sunday at the Quarter Road from 11.00am.
The U12s will be taking part in the County Blitz in Glasdrumman on Saturday 28th August, commencing at 10.30am.
Glasdrumman's own U10 blitz has been re-arranged for Saturday 18th September.
A second Summer Youth Programme, 'Summer Splash' will take place 17th - 31st August for 13-19 year olds. For further details please contact Catherine Carr & keep an eye on the website, www.glasdrumman.down.gaa.ie.
There will be a bag pack in Asda on Thursday 19th August to fundraise for kit bags for the U8s & U10s. Can representatives of those players involved please contact either Bronagh O'Neill or Jen McKay to help out on the day.
Bingo as usual this Thursday at 8.30pm. The tote currently stands at £1,900.
Club merchandise available including tracksuits, £38 for juvenile sizes and adults £48, club coats junior sizes £25 and adults £30, hoodies £25 for junior sizes and adults £30 and tee shirts £15 all sizes. Please contact Catherine Kelly for details of orders.
The club is collecting second hand clothes to raise funds, please forward all second hand clothes to Colette Burden or any Committee member.
