Hurlers head for Wexford
February 26, 2010
Following a drubbing at the hands of Clare last weekend, the Down hurlers now face a daunting trip to Wexford this Sunday.
Twenty points separated the sides at the end of last weekend's match and although new manager Gerard Monan will not dwell on that result, he will be hoping for a better performance this weekend.
Wexford had nine points to spare over Westmeath and will be bidding to gain promotion out of division two this year. It will be a tough game for the Mourne men and they will be a lot happier when this one is out of the way.
